Where to buy

Burnout Revenge is the 4th video game in the Burnout series. Building on the success of Burnout 3: Takedown, Revenge boasts a number of improvements in graphics, game physics, rival AI, as well as the ability to utilize traffic as a weapon (Traffic Checking).

New Features
The tracks have been improved and are now built for battling, with many alternate routes, shortcuts and obstacles.

Other new features include 'In-race Crashbreaker' (the ability to blow ones car up after a crash to cause damage), vertical takedowns, multiple route tracks with huge air opportunities, and traffic checking, which allows the player to hit same-way traffic without wrecking. To check traffic, one must hit light weight traffic (cars, small vans etc.) travelling in the same direction. If you ram into a Bus or Truck, or hit any traffic head-on, you crash. With practice, this can be used to clear junctions, destroy heavy or oncoming traffic, score extra points in crash mode and even takedown rivals.

Crash Mode
The crash mode has been tweaked to incorporate a new launch system with which to propel the car from the starting line while wind physics have been introduced that affect the in air trajectory of your car. The weight of the car accounts for more now as it plows through traffic and flies through the air (the heavier your car the less affected by wind it is).

Online
The game also features an online mode for Xbox Live. Among the new features is a new ranking system, a 'Crash Tour' mode, and a reworked online Road Rage mode where the Blue team must escape being taken out by the Red team for as long as possible.

Xbox 360 Port
The Xbox 360 version of Burnout Revenge includes several brand new features and improves the graphics of the game to match the power of the next-gen console. The game includes 10 new crash junctions on the Crash Tour. It also includes a vastly improved online mode that introduces online Revenge Rivals. This system allows you to keep track of the number of times you have been taken out or have taken out any given player. This allows for long term rivalries between players, as players fight to get Revenge on their opponents.

The new version also includes a new Burnout Clips feature, which allows you to save 30 second clips of any offline race you play and share them with players over Xbox Live.

Furthermore, the Xbox 360 version removes the launch meter from Crash Mode that was seen in the PS2/Xbox version.

Downloadable Content
The Xbox 360 version of Burnout Revenge was the first game to take advantage of kiosk downloads, where you take your Memory Unit to participating stores such as GameStop, Circuit City, and Best Buy, and download new content for your game on an Xbox 360 Memory Unit. You could download a Burnout Revenge Theme, an Xbox 360 car, and a car based on the store where you downloaded the content.

There is also Xbox Live Marketplace content available in the form of new cars for use online and off. The cars include the previously mentioned Xbox 360 car, as well as

* Alienware Car
* Dolby Car
* Monster Car
* Plantronics Car
* Spike TV Car
* Yellowcard Car

These cars are only available online until they are unlocked in the main game.

There is also a secret car called the Madden Challenge Bus to unlock in the game. To get this Crash Mode vehicle, just go to Extra Content in the Main Menu, and select the Madden 06 Trailer. As soon as you start the movie, the Madden Challenge Bus will be unlocked.

Also, having a saved game for Black on your hard drive unlocks a Black car.
